Bar; Thanks for the link. Those are some nice cabins. I'll do a little more research on 55 and see what shakes out. If the first rifle season is limited draw,it may not be too bad up in there. Maybe I can rent a bunkhouse down at Old Agency for a few nights,lol. That would be pretty sweet. They've got things fixed up pretty nice down there.

A cow tag can be had for 1st rifle in 55 with no points. 51 hunters got the tag last year as a 2nd choice. You would be wasting a lot of points to get that tag.

You both can also get a bull tag for 55. You only need 1 points to do that, so she would waste 4 points.

About 600 tags total are sold. You would have no deer hunters. It's a big unit, and a lot of the hunters will quit after the first few days.

It has about an 18% success rate.

Sorry, I've been off line for a bit. It looks like Bar has your questions taken care of. Personally, if my daughter had 5 points I would make the hunt her hunt and I would be there just for support.
