That's true, .223 it’ll kill a deer. But why would you use it knowing it’s extremely limited compared to say 270, 7 mag, 308, etc… love my 223 for predator hunting and target shooting though.

Silly to me there are places that specify caliber restrictions.

Even sillier are the places dictating bullet composition.

Here in Oregon there is no draw weight restriction for archery elk, but you can’t use a 22 cal centerfire… very well thought out

We can't use a .22 cal for hunting bear or deer, but we had the minimum for archery hunting as needing to propel a broadhead tipped arrow 125 yards.

I did, it was fast! 77 TMK at max charge was almost 3k fps. Accuracy sucked though.
