I have a 8" gong set at 220 yards off my back porch, tikka t1x with a 6x swfa dial to 8 mil and ring the gong.

The scope is what makes it easy, I have a CZ 452 that is probably more accurate than the Tikka, but the Tikka is set up to mimic my hunting rifle.

My son and I use a savage mk ii fv-sr, with ewc 20 moa rail, transfer our scope from our hunting rifle to this rifle for practice. Sub sonic 22 ammo helps a lot with accuracy. I have a video of him making hits at 250 on a 10” gong I can’t attach it but if you’d like I can share it with you.

Subs, a rail with 30-40 moa slope, scope with lots of elevation adjustment. I've done 240 with my Marlin sighted in at 50 with mini mags holding about 8 feet over 😁

I’m in the tikka t1x and swfa 6x camp. I believe for 300 I was dialing then holding a bit of elevation still. It gets a lot more meaningful in terms of accuracy from 100-250 yards..things kind of go to pieces beyond that. I think having the right ammo matters more than anything else

I have a bull barrel on my 10-22. Can't remember the brand without looking, I've done 200 with it. Cci standard velocity are where it's at.

Consistent ammo is the biggest factor in my opinion. I'm shooting a 10/22 with a Green Mountain 16" bull barrel, recently put a 20moa QD mount on top of the 30moa rail, but I haven't had it out yet to see if that actually makes it so I can only dial at 300 instead of dialing + holding 😂

I have a CZ 457. It’s set up more for PRS styl matches, but I’ve shot F-Class style matches to 300 and I’ve made hits at 505 yards.
16” barreled action 457. MDT XRS stock. DIP 25 MOA rail. Vortex Pro rings. Athlon Midas Tac 6-24. I can dial to about 350. I have to hold over to the rest to get to 500. With this setup I can still maintain a 50 yard zero. I think I’m right at #10.5 right now. I would like to add a couple more pounds if I could.
I’ll try to answer any questions you might have.

Look up NRL22 in your area. I started shooting that when centerfire components were too hard to find for me to keep shooting local long range matches. I've got 2 CZ 457 rifles, the one I'm currently using is in the Boyds AT One stock with a 16" barrel. I have an Athlon Aeres ETR on it and a 20 MOA mount. (bought the Athlon for another gun, and swapped it over, not the best, but good enough for now)

A 50 yard zero gives me plenty of adjustment to get out to the ranges you are talking about.

I have .17s, .22-250, .22WMR, etc, but there is something fun about ringing steel with a little .22Long Rifle. Good ammo is essential, but after that, it is a really good way to work on your fundamentals, wind reads, getting comfortable dialing and holding, and position building.

I regularly shoot at 17 oz Pepsi bottles filled up with colored water starting at 100 out to 350 or so.

Remington 40-X in a McMillan Marksman stock with a Sightron 6-24x50 in Seekins rings and NF 40 MOA base. Fun time.....

Get a cz 457, swap the trigger spring, put a rail on between 30 and 55moa can't, get some good ammo like sk or lapua and a scope that you like and you should be good. We have been shooting at rifle casings at 200, quarters and mini sets of ram, chicken, pigs.

The cz 457 at 1 is one I just set up for a buddy quick. The other is my cz 457 mtr that has had some stock work.

After a couple warming up shots, I can regularly hit the 300 yd gong with my open sighted 1940s single shot 22. 🤣 It is an amazing amount of holdover and Kentucky windage.

Vudoo Gun Works 22LR
30 MOA Scope Base
NightForce ATACR (or equivalent)
Lapua Center-X ammo
Kestrel 5700 Elite
Applied Ballistics Custom Drag Model (CDM)

This combination should accurately get you out to 400+ yards. While truing my ballistic software at 403 yards, I shot 50 rounds into 2.87 MOA, from the prone using a bipod and a rear bag.

At 403 yards…..Max ordinate, which is the bullet height above the ground at the highest point in the trajectory, was 256 inches (21.3 feet). Velocity, 829 fps.

My buddy has an Ruger RPR he bought for his kid in .22LR.. damn thing is impressive.
Kid places in shooting matches all the time and my buddy has been able to plink steel @200 consistently with it.
Not sure of scope / ammo etc but it’s nice
