Building my tipi

I started building my tipi this week I used 8oz painter drop cloth 2 other them 12x16 I sewed them together to make it 22x16 I cut out the modified tipi design I found off you tube I still have to build my stove but so far I'm liking it has enough room for 2 guys with gear and a stove

I do I'm going to use linseed oil got to watch for some warm dray weather so once I apply it. It can dry

My home made stove out of a 5 gallon paint can. I'm burning off the galvanized coating then I'll pain it with some high heat paint

I dont know if i would bother to paint it. Even high heat paint will burn off. I built a smoker and painted it. There is zero paint left on the firebox.

Linseed oil is a bad idea.

It stays tacky to the touch.....and its flammable.

That’s cool! I have wanted a tipi tent with a stove, but they seem so stinking expensive! I might just have to try and make one! You did a great job, thanks for the inspiration

Ya I think I’d look for something other than linseed oil for the waterproofing.
