This is from a couple weeks ago archery hunting, walking distance from my house. Shot a little buck about 15 minutes after the picture was taken. Wife was hunting on the knoll just behind the barn in the background and missed a deer almost at the same time. She shot her first deer ever tonight from the same stand.

A few years ago, my grandfather's 336 sticking out the window. It took me 40 years to kill a deer with that rifle, it's since been retired.

A couple days later, the last day of the late gun season for does only, shot her with 15-20 minutes of light left.

Early morning, October 28th, 2023.
Shot my biggest buck ever from here that evening when he stopped along the creek bank, right under that rising sun . An oak and hickory haven.
