I’m guessing any type of tape or patch that I put on will be considered a modification to them which would void their warranty and give them another excuse to not cover the warranty.

It would be great if they offered to repair. I would be perfectly happy with that
I agree with you man, pretty crappy of them....particularly for a company that claims to be so customer centric.

Just put some Tenacious Tape on it and forget about it

I guess that is fare if they replace the belt that got worn out due to the frame now rubbing on the belt material. I have two frames with the same issue now.

Probably would be pretty cheap for them to just replace the belt, I bet a belt only costs them $15 or $20 to make or at least offer one at a reduced price or cost plus shipping.
