So I bought a used Kuiu Bino Harness without fully realizing how they worked apparently. I was not a fan that the straps were hook on to the binos, I wanted to have all the straps on the harness and nothing on the binos.
I took a few minutes and designed a fix. These are 3D printed parts with heat-set brass inserts. I drilled small holes in the harness and then "cauterized" them so they would not fray. Then I used low profile round head screws with washers on the inside of the harness to attach to these 3D printed parts. Works like a charm and the screws won't pull through nor will the plastic parts break.
What do you guys think?
"Look Ma, no binos!"
