Right, out of the box they are long, which also increases poundage. I have seen generally 3/8" but as much as 5/8"
I don't doubt that it's on purpose. Too many people just pull a bow out of the box and shoot it/chrono and decide on one.

Once you shorten the draw up a little the poundage drops too.
Agree, thought I haven’t seen as much as 5/8”. Most people buy a bow that has a rest and D-loop slapped on with a peep floating in the string.

I stated out of the box for the OP for reference.

everything I’ve read about them is nothing but good. I can’t find one for sale anywhere either so that says something
It says that it’s super outdated technology. You’d probably get better speeds out of a 70lb speed bow like the Omen.

You would think so but it’s shooting a 435 grain arrow 350 fps… that’s extremely powerful

Not really, SR 350 will do 300 with a 500 grain arrow at 70 lbs.
That's not really in the same ballpark bud.

300 fps with a 500 gr arrow is ~100 ft lbs of KE.

350 fps with a 435 gr arrow is ~118 ft lbs of KE.

Since bows are constant KE launchers, that implies the second bow would get 326 fps with a 500 gr arrow, if I did the math right.

NM that is fast, I looked up some old chrono posts, and apparently people get those ridiculous speeds.

I bought a Mathew’s traverse with 80# wake limbs used off of this forum. It’s the bees knees. 29.5” draw, 75% let off, shooting a 513gr arrow at 289fps. Super smooth. Keep your eyes peeled on Rokslide & archerytalk. They pop up from time to time.
