I did the same after a season with the 10x and my wife having the 8x. Then decide if I valued FOV over magnification/objective diameter. I'd imagine you can only win once you click the order button.

Jan 10, 2022 #3 mtwarden Super Moderator Staff member Joined Oct 18, 2016 Messages 9,766 Location Montana if you're hunting elk in an area with lots of glassing opportunities, I think 10X off a tripod is what I'd stick with I've hunted with quality 10x42's and have never felt handicapped vs 10x50's if you're hunting in an area with lots of dark timber, bring your 8x30 's
