I am helping my dad with his Howa Superlite which is 5.5 lbs scoped. The spring kits can be ordered in different weights (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5lb). We are looking at the 2lb or 2.5lb kit. Given the rifle is so light we are leaning towards the 2lb kit. I think anything less is just too light but anything heavier will influence the rifle a bit more.

Thoughts? It's not adjustable unfortunately without a new kit.

2.5 should be fine, that is what I just ordered. I was able to get mine down to 3 with a coil cut and had no problem holding tight groups.

Depends on the situation, but 2 is as low as I personally would go for most any rifle. 2.5-3 would be fine.

If a shooter is moving the rifle, working on rifle position the trigger press will do more than dropping lower. Cause you end up with more problems on top of the original problems.

I put a 2# spring in a Howa 1500 and my scale measures it at 1.75#. I like 2-2.5# for a hunting trigger.

For me it all depends on how much the rifle weighs. I don't want a 4# trigger on a 6# rifle, but could deal with it on a 12# rifle. My triggers go from 10oz to 3# or so, avg probably 1.5-2#

All my rifles are less than 2lbs. I have a lightweight 280 AI set at 1.5lbs. To me, the lighter the gun needs a light trigger since every bit of movement seems to be magnified.
