I now use a Caldwell recoil pad that you wear. It's just some padding that you strap over your shoulder. I put it between a t shirt and light button up synthetic. Works great, especially with my 300 win mag (also an a bolt). It also simulates shooting with slightly bulkier hunting clothes. I quit using my lead sled. It's not as much of a natural shooting position/setup. I can't stand shooting next to guys with brakes at the range so I've never considered them.
