Wanted to get everyone's thoughts, I had an Alaskan caribou hunt planned for September that just got pushed back till 2023 or later. This means my fall has opened up. I have 8 wyoming preference points. I know wyoming has significantly cut the tags for this year. If I drew I would probably go through an outfitter since I'm going for a book goat if at all possible. . What do you think. Keep building points and wait or go for it this fall?

8 points is enough to get you into most of the units bordering the red desert but not the core red desert units.

I’m sitting on 9 points and I have seen the units I could draw year over year not improve to where I think I could draw a red desert tag anytime in the next decade.

If I wanted a guided trip for a book antelope I would look at Pronghorn guide service above all others. If nothing else following his social media is super informative about pronghorn.
