    It ain’t just ammo

Used market is insane. I got lucky and found a good road bike but not the year to look for upgrades - or for parts for an older bike.

Had to do a double take because California (CA) is definitely not great for guns and on the no no list for cans!

    Advice on hydration bladder

I've only made one backcountry trip with it but I hunted 7 days with it in my pack and no problems. I have the 3L with larger hose. I did have problems with my Sawyer quick connect because of the larger hose but leaving your bladder in your bag and filling from a quick connect is money.

Struggling to Achieve a Zero at 100 yards.

When I bought a Ruger Precision Rifle I learned the difference a trigger makes. Some will complain about the Ruger trigger but it was so much better than any hunting rifle I had ever shot. It's one of the top items on my list now when I look at a rifle. I recently bought a T/C Compass 300...

Struggling to Achieve a Zero at 100 yards.

I'm sure you've thought of this but I'll toss it out - how long are you waiting between shots? Will it group the first two shots on a cold barrel? When you clean, use a copper remover as part of the process. Have you tried grouping at 50 yards? The 9 shot group you posted has a fair...

    Beginner Routine Recommendations?

20 yards by September maybe, but you need to shoot 40 arrows per day including some practice at 30-40 yards. With one month to go, you need to practice at the weight you will hunt. My bow is set at 60. You don't have to shoot 70#'s for elk at reasonable distances. Expandables? Shoot with...

    Adult Onset Hunter from Maryland

I know folks who did the same as you in MD, mostly archery. Maybe look to West Virginia and you'll get bigger swaths of land and some national forests. If I remember right, limits on deer or different in Eastern and Western MD. VA is another option. Sure, you are paying out of state license...

Is a new camera the solution?

I think you need a DSLR for what you are trying to do. The learning curve is greatly reduced from film days and autofocus on a DSLR will do what you want because you can select where you want to focus. I progressed more in a month with my first DSLR (NIkon D70 in 2005) than I did in several...

    Rumors of Another Shutdown

That's good. I have a Garmin watch but all gym, no running in AZ summer. so I haven't paid attention to Garmin Connect. Apparently Connect and flight navigation software has been down at least a couple weeks.

    Rumors of Another Shutdown

More testing equals more positives but our hospital and ICU numbers have tracked at the same rater are high for summer. I have five family members who are positive and two are in their early forties. One of those was hospitalized and only one is better. Had a friend's coworker die of COVID...
