2 Tikkas 2 Privateers

Finally got both of my Privateer stocks after 6 months! Finished them up today and I’m really happy with how they fit me. The short one is a T1x in .22 and the other is a .280 Rem with a 24” Light Sendero Proof. The .280 weighs 6.5lbs bare rifle.

Nah, it’s just that the 22 is short

How was the first inletting and did you bed the rifles?

Not gonna lie, the action fit good but the recoil lug sat too high and had to be lowered. The trigger guard however, didn’t fit well at all. Trigger guard sat about 3/16” out of the stock. I had to cut down the pillars to get them to fit in.
I fully glass bedded the action and trigger guards on both rifles.

Thanks. I know the bottom “metal” fit looked great in your photo, but I have seen it sitting proud on other Tikka/Privateer photos, so I was wondering if you had to do some work.
