Lifelong dream come true. Hunt was scheduled for July 2020, but you guys know how that went. I’ve been dreaming about this hunt since I was old enough to pick up a hunting magazine. It didn’t disappoint. 11.5year old from the NWT.
That’s a great picture!

Results of my early monsoon season solo hunt. Hunted my butt off and ultimately stumbled into this guy as I was looking for a better exit strip. He’s beautiful, no where as big as the area can produce or the ram I had originally went after, but overly meaningful in that it was my first solo sheep. Also had to end my hunt on time to focus on my 10yo daughter’s namesake hunt and if knew if we both needed a second trip in to connect, she comes first. So this gent was a welcome blessing. Certainly fumbled up pretty much everything one can in the process, all the way down to leaving my pack behind while finishing the stalk and forgetting where I put that rock looking thing.

Congrats on a couple fantastic rams - not to downplay the accomplishment of a solo ram, but special congrats on your daughter's accomplishment! Please put in a good word for me with whoever you know running the draws at ADFG ;)
