First of the season with 25-06.
70 lb doe shot at 225 yds. Shot to back of head exited from. Deer travelled zero yards.
Beans are were very tall this year. Only shot available was head and upper neck. Don’t normally do that but I had a very solid rest with no wind and the deer were calmly feeding.
115 VLD over H1000 going 3050 out of a 24” barreled 700.

As a head's up, I will be posting a set of Redding .25-06 dies and a couple hundred pieces of sized, de-primed, and trimmed brass (mixed head stamps) in the classifieds this week.

Is the Creedmoor the most efficient in terms of FPS per grain of powder?
If you compare loads with all things being equal, the efficiency gains are clear.

For example, compare max loads with the 135 Berger, 26" barrel, LRP, and RE-26, and you get the following:

.25-06AI
58.2 grains / 3063 fps (52.6 fps per grain of powder)
.25 Creed
45.6 grains / 2944 fps (64.5 fps per grain of powder)

Does anyone have ballistics for a 25 SST with 18-20” barrel 130+ class bullets?

In that case, dummy up a round with one of the heavies and order a fast twist barrel. 1:7 is probably better with added velocity from the wby, but you can calculate on the Berger website with their twist rate tool.
I believe a 7.5 is recommended by most of the smiths I’ve talked to for the fast cartridges in the 25s so they aren’t over spun but this is the internet, always do your own research for confirmation.
