280-300” Bulls

Thank you for this thread. I would’ve thought almost all these bulls scored more. I’d be thrilled to kill a bull like these.

Shouldn’t be an issue... don’t be like me and keep turning down bulls hoping for a bigger one only to have the season slip away without a bull on the ground! I’ll never get to hunt bulls in unit 61 again.

I finally killed my first bull over 300” last season and I broke the mark by nearly 30” on a toad of an old regressing bull.

Never scored and not an expert, but guessing ~325" true or 350" internet . First elk I saw on a solo hunt, midday day 5. Persistence pays off. In a unit in CO where there are leftover tags every year.

That is a GREAT bull and an even better OTC Colorado bull. The roughly 40” main beams are what hurts the score most. That bull is very close to 300-310” gross. A 300” bull is very big and 95% of hunters would call it like you said, 350”.
