Cmeir117 if you go to bed happy by seeing a dead Elk from Aron then Aron goes to jail, does not pass go. Season starts tomorrow. Remember cigarettes are like money in prison:p

EXACTLY......and remember odds for archery elk run about 10%....

I thought you guys where muley crazy. What gives with going after the elk??? Easy solution: Shoot a deer on the way to the elk and then kill one of those too. End up with a really busy day. I'm biased towards elk, but I would be a deer opportunist. Can't go wrong shooting either.

Made it to camp. Weather is dicey. Switching between bright and sunny and dark, cold, damp and rainy. Hunkering down in our bivies and para tarps. Service is spotty so we'll post when we can.

That had 2L of water. Very little food though. 5 bagel sandwiches, all my snacks - waffles, gummy chews, stinger protein bars - and 2 dinners. We hung about 7 days worth of food on a previous scouting trip - all my breakfasts and many dinners. No spotter but a small tripod for binos.

Exped UL pad

KUIU guide jacket, gloves, beanie, merino hat, spindrift

Hey Marc,

When you can will you detail your charging setup. I've been piecing together a new setup this year. It is really functional, just not uber light weight or compact.

Good Luck to you and Aron in the morning. Hope your dreams are filled with the brutes you put to bed tonight.
