devils advocate :), if people can go into a thread and say "good price, someone pick this up" don't they have equal freedom to go into a thread and say "bad price, look elsewhere"

i don't really care one way or the other, just looking from the other side. hate seeing way overpriced stuff on the classifieds, but usually just assume they will realize they asking too much when its 2 pages of "bump" posts. I think compared to other sites, usually roksliders prices are as good as it gets, usually priced to move.
No !! this site has rules. Thread crapping is heavily frowned upon.

Kinda hard to do when people are selling stuff for 4X-5X the normal value

Yes, but it is current market value, To expect someone to sell below that is unfair. If your house quadrupled in value, would you sell at the ole value, Frustration with the overall market should not be taken out on the the market participants.

Mine was my wife's Ford Escort. I thought it was such a piece of crap that I would be ripping someone off asking $1000 for it. It sold within minutes and I had to take it down so my phone would stop ringing.
Cant even buy a used car around here anymore. Every little gangster want to be is a car broker now. They snatch them up faster than ammo.

It’s what this thread is about, courtesy and common decency (or uncommon today). Another example is folks posting their “first elk” pics - they get lots of “attaboys “ and “great elk” comments. Those are acceptable. What isn’t would be “that’s a little small” or “I’d of held out for something better.”

Free market. Pass it up if you don't like the price. Post an I'll Take it or send a PM if you do.

I'd love to buy a house right now but don't think the seller is gouging if he wants 2x what he paid in 2011 or something.

The firearms market kinda sucks right now. I need money for some other things, and have a bit of powder I may even sell to fund those things. If I do sell it I'm not going to post it for $150/lb which is what it appears to be worth on gunbroker, but I'm definitely not selling it for $40/lb either as I'd be shorting myself. I saw the same powder sell same day another forum yesterday for $75/lb which is territory that most people consider gouging, yet someone gladly paid it so they didn't have to pay 2x that on gunbroker.

Weird times... and probably just the beginning. Wait til were further down the road on the push for gun control... People will be selling 30 rd mags for $40 each again... :( Can't even imagine what powder/primers will be selling for in a few months...

Yes, be respectful. Do not wander into socialism just because you need affordable ammo/components.

Learn to work within the existing conditions.

I will just leave it at that and not say what I really think.

Might be cheaper to buy ammo and pull primers. LOL Is that even possible? Hmm.

If I hadn't received an e-mail notifying me of in-stock 9mm... and then followed the link to find it was ~$1.16 each then it might be possible...

I'm wondering if we're not going to see 9mm for $2/rd!

Edit - We're not far off. $1.70/rd here.

Anyways, stuff's expensive right now and will be for awhile. But zap's wording of not wandering into socialism just because we need ammo is a good way of putting it.

I've passed a lot at $.60/rd. The guy that's asking $1.70/rd also has 1k cases for $600 (out of stock) but that seems to be a pretty "good" price for the current market.

My previous limit was $.21/rd. Now it's $.30 but I haven't bought any because I can't find it. I may be loading 9mm on my single stage soon lol.

I understand that but Its just compounding the problem don't you think?
No, it's actually helping solve the "problem." The old adage "the cure for high prices is...high prices" still holds true. High prices encourage more judicious consumption, draw unused/undervalued inventory into the active market, and direct productive resources toward increasing supply. Prices are the most important information in any market, and bad information (e.g., prices remaining far below what consumers are willing to pay because of legal constraints or a misguided sense of altruism) prolongs the market's process of adjusting to meet new supply/demand conditions.

This is a fun joke to play on people... snag a few photos off the internet of a car and try and sell it for 25 percent of what its worth with someone you either like or don't likes number on the ad. I miss college...
