Our group made more than a few questionable decisions back in the day... Guy we worked with at the bar ended up getting his phone number changed. I like the locates idea.
I understand. I did not attend college but we made some questionable decisions also. But I am older than cell phones. LOL

We had to drive across town to TP and throw eggs. LOL

Hmm or the internet. Shit I better go get my teeth now. Ugh

I guess I made a few questionable decisions back in the 70's...my buddies would bail me out and we'd start all over. Can't believe that I lived thru it...if my boys would pull that crap😤.

Oh yes. The bail out. I wore those like a badge of honor. It was just good fun.

Now it has a whole new meaning.

This is a fun joke to play on people... snag a few photos off the internet of a car and try and sell it for 25 percent of what its worth with someone you either like or don't likes number on the ad. I miss college...
Thanks for the idea. Pretty sure I will be doing this to someone in my fantasy football league next year.

I am looking to pick up a new EXO pack. I have 80% of the money sitting in my piggy bank. All of these posts about price gouging makes me think I should charge some sucker an exorbitant price for some of the 22 lr shells I have saved up.

Maybe not exorbitant price but a "heathy" price.

I got a 1/2 day used exo 4800 tall frame in mc I could part with. However, you probably dont have enough 22lr shells. :)

Kinda hard to do when people are selling stuff for 4X-5X the normal value
Key word there "selling".........that means that there are actually people "buying" at those prices, which is fine. A seller and a buyer coming together in agreement to complete a transaction. That's the way it's supposed to work in this country.........free market system. Nobody is forcing anyone to sell, and nobody is forcing anyone to buy.

As said above, if you find something that's listed for above the price you want to pay......then negotiate or move on. There's nothing to get offended or upset about.

I might surprise you. I am ashamed to admit it, I was one of the hoarders back in 08 when there was a 22 lr shortage. I had just got a 22 savage bolt action for fathers day, and the fact there was no ammo on the shelf gave me a strong compulsion to buy it when ever I could. I think I overdid it a bit. I have hurt my back a few times moving the tote full of it around. I will probably buy a new pack based on how many years I squeezed out of my last one. I am thinking I will go with the 6400. I just wish it had the U shaped zipper on the front like the 4800. Oh well. Sorry to go off on a tangent.

I will give my input. First never be ashamed of being prepared. LOL

So I have a K2 3500. We have a life together. LOL I do not like the K3. Belt wont stay tight and other little things that piss me off over the K2. Also the horse shoe is not that great. Way harder to stuff things in and makes the back stretchy panel way smaller because zipper goes all the way around. Plus no pickup handle on top. Come on Mark. Love the K2 but K3 not so much. Just my opinion.

To those that are rule followers or respect the house they are standing in... classified rules for Rokslide #11 and #12 ... they take the ambiguity out of it ... house rules say move on or send a PM. So for those that can’t find the will power to move on, how about you follow the rules and send the poster a private message. Or start a thread under the appropriate category to have a discussion (or merely bitch) about prices.
This was a fun one to read read and Thank you to the OP for putting out the public service announcement.

Someone felt the need to tell me that “no one needs to stockpile ammo” on a thread where I stated that I’m glad I keep 1,500 9mm and 2,500 .223 in the gun safe for just in case. I’m still glad I did. Not the first time when ARs and .223 ammo was non-existent (I.e. Bill Clinton).

I stockpile ammo when no one else seems to want it, so it's cheap. That is until it gets like it is these days, and then it has less value to me sitting in storage than it does to others........so I offer it back into the supply chain to help the supply to meet demand, which helps to keep prices from going even higher.(y) And then the process eventually works its way back to nobody wanting any and the prices continue to drop until it's cheap again, and the cycle keeps going.

It's just like climate change.........the cycles continue over and over, but most people haven't been around long enough to recognize that so they panic and run around screaming "the sky is falling" and "the earth is ending"........and they get mad and offended at people that just shrug it off as another blip in the cycle.

My biggest gripe is when I have something NEW priced lower than you can or will ever find it and someone offers a ridiculous low price for it. Let’s say a $300 item everywhere. I list it new for $150 and then someone offers $80. I immediately add them to my “ never deal with” list. I won’t even reply.

Yep, I had a new member call me out on a recent sell post about my asking price. I held off on telling him the rule but it did cross my mind. (Note - I wasn't selling ammo - just a bino pack below new cost.)

If I am not interested in the item I move on. If it is truly something I want to by I will PM them with my offer and reason for the number. At that point we either agree on price or go our separate ways. To me going behind doors does no harm to either party involved.

Mine was my wife's Ford Escort. I thought it was such a piece of crap that I would be ripping someone off asking $1000 for it. It sold within minutes and I had to take it down so my phone would stop ringing.
I drove one to Alaska and back. You cannot kill them :)
