Bead blast vs cerakote?

Having a custom rifle built and I'm starting to reconsider my choice of having the unfinished surfaces bead blasted. I like how it looks but should I worry about environmental damage?
Pros and cons of either choice?

Ok, sorry I was thinking damage to the environment and scratching my head.

I would get it coated. I don't have a coated gun, but want one. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.
