Black Hills Deer Population

Good afternoon All - was curious if anyone has any recent intel regarding what the deer herd in the Hills is looking like this year given last year's outbreak of EHD? Plan on bowhunting again this year but did notice any significant drop in deer sightings while hunting the northwest portion last season. Thanks!

I was in and area of the BH and had a buddy hunt in the Northern section of the BH last year in Nov. Less deer in general but that still means a bunch of deer. Can't put a % drop and is only anecdotal but there was noticeable difference. He was still seeing 30-40 deer a day and saw multiple P&Y and better bucks a day.

My father in laws property backs up to the black hills NF in northeast Wyoming. Tons and tons of white tails at his elevation. Some mule deer and elk sightings as well.

There are a lot of deer up that way.
