We’ve been stacking em up this year. One freezer completely full to the top with reds. Decided it was our little guy’s turn this weekend. He’s 3 in October. I would cast out a streamer and then he would reel it in, hook the fish, and get it to shore all himself. Very proud little guy. He caught fish until he about fell asleep standing up.
Decided to dip net on the last evening of the season. Beach was empty and we stopped at 20 in 2 hours with 1 net. Could’ve easily got our limit but cleaning 20 fish solo until midnight was enough.
There is no place like Alaska for raising boys.

Had a good trip for Halibut, Grey Cod, Lingcod, Black/Dusky rockfish, salmon...yada yada.

My Dad, Brother, and and 3 friends. Bite was off the charts for most everything, salmon were a bit slow.

18 total boxes, 750 lbs of filets.

In BC, they call a king over 30 lbs. a 'tyee.' That one likely qualifies. Nice catch.

If you are ever in eastern Montana, bring your shallow water (2-3’) rapala divers, the catfish tear them up! We were fishing for bass and catching more catfish and they were a blast!
