Too bad no one makes a variable weight kettle ball like the variable weight dumb bells.
I've gotten all mine from amazon. I'd say start around 35, you can probably add on pretty quickly. I'd also recommend finding a class to learn the movements. Kettlebells are great only downside is when you get stronger you have to buy a new one and they're not cheap. I started with a 35, went to a 60, now my 80 is too light, but I don't wanna drop the cash on a 90.
I assume CrossFit places would be where to look for a class?
Negative.
Look for a kettlebell instructor. Start with Strongfirst and look for an instructor from there.
CrossFit tends to bring out the worst of kb's.

Thank you, there is one here local on this site.

As long as they're a good coach. Just like any group of people there's good and bad CrossFit coaches. If there's alot of horror stories of people getting hurt at that box I wouldn't seek advise there, if there's a bunch of jacked injury free people at it, I would. Trainers are kinda hit-n-miss, I've seen some really, really good ones and some really really bad ones. I'd ask around and see if one in your area has a good reputation. I was fortunate that there was a weekly kettlebell class at the Anytime Fitness I used to go to.I assume CrossFit places would be where to look for a class?

I would start with Simple and SinisterAnybody have a good free resource for workouts from beginner to beast? It's a little overwhelming when you google it.
