Hey guys. My boys aren’t gonna be happy but last minute Wrangling has me helping my brother on his early 043 rifle tag.
With the recent snows is it enough to push the deer lower/migrate. If so where do they generally go. My brother called glen wood springs more than a few times with no response. Thanks guys

Bucks will still be up high. Takes more than a few inches to move them out.

To move those bucks out you need sustained weather with around a foot of snow. Even then they will hang out and change feed.

My buck I killed last year had been living in 12 to 20 inches of snow for two weeks.

The alpine bucks that were living at treeline all summer long likely drop into the trees after a snow and after they have shed their velvet. Some may not move too terribly far but they likely move into the trees and are a lot less visible. Some may move further down into the trees. I hate to say it but they usually are a lot tougher to find until the rut in November. That's usually why 2nd rifle season tags are generally pretty easy to draw in many Colo units.
