CO 11/211 road conditions

I’m going to make a trip down to scout/get a feel for 4th deer. Is a SxS necessary with the weather coming? Was it still muddy since last snows? How’s the roads, is it more efficient to use a wheeler (Rocky/rough). I’d rather not bring one and get there quicker, but beating up my truck/mud wouldn’t be fun either. Thoughts/experience? Thanks. was in those units in sept for muzzy and i would recommend a SXS. it was nasty from the rain when we were there so i can only imagine with the snow what it has done.

Last year it was either a mud bog or frozen. If you don't bring a SXS, definitely bring chains.
