Colorado 48 First Rifle

I drew a Colorado unit 48 first rifle bull tag, and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share any previous hunting experiences? I have an idea of where I will be heading, and also will be my first run hunting Colorado with a rifle. Elk habits at that point in the season?

I haven’t seen much intel on this unit, but maybe that’s a good thing! I know of a couple areas I’ve hunted mule deer with the bow that are incredible, that you never hear anything about.

My main question is what can I expect the elk to be doing, elevation to expect to see them, and trophy quality of this area. Also with my rifle getup, I have the capability to reach out if at distance if need be.

Hoping to have a great hunt since it will probably be five plus years to get back in here with pt creep. Any intel is greatly appreciated! Thanks again.
