Hi all,
I was super lucky to draw a non resident mule deer archery tag for area 181. There tag covers areas 18, 181, 37, 371, 28 and 27.

The reason I’m posting here is I will be chasing these deer with my recurve!

I managed to spend a week in 181 last year and am trying to get over to scout in July. What I am looking for is some ideas of drainages or whatever other info you want to pass on. A private message would be best.

I do have OnX and google earth I will be looking at while home in WA.

thanks for any info!

Sure wished I could answer that, cause then for me, that would mean I live there, and therefore hunt there.....lol
But I don't :(

They issue tons of tags for that unit group, but there's tons of deer. I don't deer hunt hunt the mountains so I don't have any specific info. What I will tell you is to get on cpw hunters Atlas, look at the summer range then look at your onx and get up high and find a deer you are willing to give a ride home too. But be out as early in the season as you can, before they start going hard horn and moving below tree line.
