Do you HAVE to take the hide out in a bear if you harvest it.?

It appears so from what I can read but just want to make sure, seems like extra work if you not looking to tan it or something.

The nipples on hides provide valuable information on if it was nursing or not as well. Instead of trashing them, offer it to a taxidermist for free.

Would have to think even DPW would be interested in the hide for their locations and other educational efforts.

So, agree with packing it out, seeing DPW within 5 days to have it sealed, then donate it if you won't use it.
