Do you still make it over there? We've been going back to 8A ever since my folks moved there in 2006...it's now one of my favorite hunts of the year.

Three does and a small 6 walked by on a game trail about 80yds from my stand this morning. Jeremy had the same buck come by again this morning.

You know its cold when your contacts freeze in the solution overnight!

Last night was in uneventful with one doe coming in at dark.

Missed a 6 point this morning! Thought my shooting lane was clear but low light made it hard to see a small branch that I hit.

Had a spike come through and a good 8 point around 3:15 but no shot. Going to move the stand tomorrow to get some better shooting lanes.

Slow day today. Two does passed through is all I saw. First day I haven't seen a buck. Today was the warmest day so far with highs around 36°. Still have 5 more days to make it happen.

No deer this morning. Just had lunch now back in the stand for the evening. Still no real sign of rutting. Not sure if we missed it or if its still to come......

Very slow day for me today! Not a single deer in my stand. Jereny's stand was pretty busy although mostly does with a few small bucks passing through.

Just a fair warning, we have four days left. Were going to keep passing the little guys and does for a couple more days then we're switching gears to meat mode. So be prepared to see a little buck or some does. I'm not one to eat a tag if I don't have to.

Haven't seen the tipi in the light of day yet since setting it up so pics are kind of crappy. I'll get better ones before the trip is over.

Working out good for two guys + a stove. The stove we are running is the new kifaru oval medium with the tall wall. It really cranks out the heat and will have you regulating the temp with the zips even in single digit temps.

This is my first time using the new design. First thoughts are it was a pita to set up the first couple times with all the little wires and what not. But I need to use it more and figure it out better that's just my first impression from using the box design. My sawtooth will be here the first week of Dec and I plan on going bear hunting the last three weekend s of the year with it and the stove.
