If you have one, don’t take it to Sportsmans. Dude took a legitimate, grandfathered in non serial number rifle and never got it back.

I honestly dont remember the exact story but this is what I do remember.

Dude sent it in to the gunsmith.
Gunsmith freaked out and called the ATF.
ATF came and took the gun.
Sportsmans gave the dude 1000 dollar giftcard.

I would have given them a lawsuit but thats just me.

holy shit man... gunsmith called ATF? that is flat-out insanity. to a person, every gunmaker I know detests the ATF and would not piss on them if they were on fire. and any gunsmith worth his salt knows that older rifles were not marked...
