D7 california east side

I’ve been hunting d7 from the east side now for 3 years archery. Only found a couple young spikes and does. I’m really struggling to get my eyes on any bucks. I’m putting in big miles over the season with lots of elevation gain and spend plenty of time glassing. Usually hunting above the tree line or at tree line. It makes me wonder has anyone here consistently been successful from the east side?

Now unfortunately we aren't letting FNG's (new guys) post up unit specific questions. Any unit question/answers remain out in the world wide webs forever, which can doom some really great spots.
