Design software

Looking at what everyone is using to design packs and blue print projects, thinking there has to be a software that does this or an app of some sort. Would appreciate anyone's experiences. Thanks in advance

Ive been using Sketchup, its fantastic and very easy to use. Pricey Though but not bad if you can get student discount

Sketchup isn't free anymore? I haven't used it in quite a while. Just a few times since Google separated from it. I didn't know you had to buy it now though.

Packs I just do on paper. Rough it out then refine the dimensions/locations and then a cut list. Admittedly a percentage of it is just in my head as well. A tent or such I'd use software just to save on the trigonometry.
