Does a Suppressor Negate MV Loss on a Shortened Barrel?

I don't have a chrono but after chopping my 6.5CM from 24" to 18" and adding the a DA Nomad TI, I didn't see a change in POI at ranges out to 500 yards. I trued MV in the BDX system prior to the suppressor and haven't had to change that. Suppressor was not used on the full length barrel. Is it common to see little to no change in MV on a shortened barrel with a suppressor.

Suppressors will add a little bit of velocity but not enough to cover the ~180fps difference you should have experienced.

Easy enough to test, take it off and shoot, put it back on and shoot, check the chrono. You'll pick up a tiny bit but nothing like what you lost.

it is impossible that a suppressor would negate that much mv loss

500 yards is too close to do any meaningful mv truing in my opinion
