I guided in Colorado for 18 years got out of it 5 years ago to hunt with my kids and do more hunts that I want to do. That said 23 years ago my hunts in public land in an OTC units went for $4750 with about 65% success rate. 18 years later when I got out same hunt was 7k success rate had dropped to about 45%. All of my old stomping grounds are now limited draw and lots of those outfitters are going out of business because it's hard to charge enough to be profitable on that style of hunt. Top that with the explosion in popularity of CO OTC diy Backcountry go deep and send it.
