elk wallow pictures question

how often will a elk visit/use a wallow ?
You can not ever count on a elk showing up at a wallow. They will sometimes hit wallows a lot but bulls travel a lot during the rut and will go to areas 20-30 miles away. I had one bull show up on the same date at the same wallow every year for 4 year in a row but that's one out of a hundred bulls I've gotten pictures of at wallows.

Just cause trashy bulls are cool🥰🤙 the very unique one was on one of my favorite wallows that always produced until wolves killed several elk very closed to it and it dried up..I have several meatpoles all around it

Too bad that other guy found him.

I’ve found that smaller bulls will mess with cams,too.. pretty much every time!
This ^ haha had a cam up for 4 months last year, finally pulled it and it had be moved by a little bull in the first 5 hours of being hung up, what a chump

In my area, there are so many wallows you just hunt around them. Picking one to sit on has been a losing game for me.

you try cameras?

We have the same problem sorta. But last year we did notice that some of them would have bulls in them like clock work every day at a certain time.
However of course when we would sit the ground in a hide on said wallow they wouldn't show. I think we're getting winded somehow. So we're going to use treestands a lot more to see if that'll help.
Sucks when you get hyped because there was a herd and a 300" bull there the night before and you sit until dark and nothing.
