Will a K2 crib load panel fit on the K3 frame just fine?

I just want to keep my K2 since I have it in blaze and that is not an option for the K3.

Yes, you can, but with some very minor modification. I have the same setup—wanted to keep the orange K2 panel. The bottom attachment point on the K3 is just a tab loop, however, and not a 1” buckle like on the K2. Therefore, you’ll need a pair of these to get the job done.

The top attachment points require no modification when using the K2 crib panel on the K3 frame.

Where did you go through to purchase those?

Well, I had those from an old repair kit for Stone Glacier packs, I believe. Kifaru has them in tan, however, and they are called split bar ladder locks. 4 of them come in a $20 repair kit, but I’m willing to bet that a quick phone call to them would net you a pair for pennies.

I haven’t called Exo about it, but I have checked out several videos just to verify that my frame looks like others. It does. I have the K3 load panel as well, and the bottom attachments are G-hooks, unlike the K2 crib which was just 1” straps that needed to be threaded through the buckles sewn into the K2 frame. The design is different for the K3, so therefore the slotted buckles are needed to make the K2 panel work on the K3 frame. Maybe there’s another way, but It doesn’t seem that the K3 frame was designed to run a K2 panel.

Here’s a few pics of mine. Note that I went one step further and replaced the top G-hooks with tension lock buckles. The bottom buckles are just tan versions of the slotted buckles that I pictured in my first post on this thread. I like this setup far more than the G-hooks.
