I recently acquired some Trail Boss powder to fire form new 300 win mag brass before working up loads. Had to trade primers for it :(:(:(.Anybody familiar with how it works and particulars on steps.100% load is 26.5 grains to the base of the bullet. Jam the bullets into the lands to keep the case head against the bolt face? What % of full load will produce enough pressure ? Actually I'd like to hear opinions on how many psi it takes to do a good job as well. Have some 165 Hornady flat base bullets that I planned on using. Hodgdon load uses 150 grainers but they'll be almost out of the case neck before they engage the rifling. Read on another forum this could cause poor neck seal and sooty cases. I like to work up loads on formed brass and thot it would be a lot of fun doing this little project. Sorry for being long winded and thanks in advance for any advice and pointers.....
