So why are the left and right chest pockets so huge? They go way up towards the shoulder.

Also, next to each chest pocket is small black loop. What are these intended for?

Finally, there are some mesh pockets inside the jacket. Are these meat for large warmer pouches? They seem too loose to hold phones and electronics securely.
