Up front : A little about when/where I’ll be hunting as well as average conditions:

August- Mid October Pacific Northwest Alpine regions. Some mornings, even in August, I’ve found can be in the low to mid 30s.

I’m debating whether or not I should go with the Kuiu Super Down Pro or the Ultra. I run pretty warm, and I figure I’ll only be wearing the down jacket while glassing or while at camp in the morning/evening.

Not worried about durability, as these won’t be used for busting brush.

Would the Super Down Pro be a bit overkill even on late September mornings/evenings? Figure I’ll be wearing it with 1 or 2 layers beneath while glassing, prepping around camp.
