Several parties reported above that the Outdoorsmans Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid fits also Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD.

This was reported almost 3 years ago, but the Outdoorsman web site still does not mention that these bino studs work with Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD:

They do list bino studes for Leica Trinovid, however they explicitly state that these studs will not work with Trinovid HD:

Does anybody know if Outdoorsmans Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid may NOT fit some of the Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD (e.g. depending on the serial number)? Otherwise why Outdoorsmans does not advertise them as compatible with Trinovids?

Anybody tried the Leofoto S3 Leica Ultravid Binocular stud:

on Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD?

If Outdoorsmans Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid fits also Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD, why the same wouldn't be the case for the Leica Ultravid bino studs made by Leofoto?

To answer my own question quoted above, I called Outdoorsmans customer service and asked them.

They told me that they know that their Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid fits some of the Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD, and they also know that it does not fit all of them. Since they do not know what differentiates the fitting Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD from the ones that do not fit, they do not advertise this bino stud for Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD.

The customer service also told me that they may discontinue this bino stud soon.

Per my request, the Outdoorsmans customer service measured the inner diameter of their Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid. It came to be approximately 7/8 of an inch. The outer diameter of the post in my Trinovid 10x42 HD on which this bino stud is supposed to be mounted measures 3/4 of an inch. These measurements are consistent with the ones reported by MTElkChaser above, almost 3 years ago.

I ordered this Bino Stud for Leica Ultravid from Outdoorsmans, it has arrived, and fits well my Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD.
