Hello from MN!

Got hooked on this elk hunting thing ever since a co-worker invited me out on an archery hunt back in 1999. Been back to Colorado five times since, successful twice. I hunt exclusively with a bow, nothing against guns, just don't use 'em.
I am currently planning and training for another trip out this Sept., having trouble finding a partner as of yet. All my previous partners have a "been there, done that" attitude and don't care to do it again. Or it's just plain too expensive for 'em. Might be my first solo trip, so I'm gearing for that both mentally and gear wise just in case...
Any help, be it experience, gear suggestions or partners, will be thoroughly welcomed. I like to keep an open mind.

Where is MN are you from. I am in Spicer. I know what you mean about partners. I went solo last year and will again this year the way it looks. Most people here in MN look at me like I have lost my mind when I tell them I went solo backpack hunting last year. PM me with question on the solo thing.

Backyard, my family farm is just 4 miles from fish lake...shoot at full draw archery.
