Saw this article at field and stream. Looks like the antis are abusing the ESA to protect wolves and grizzlies in Montana - two birds with one stone. As much as I don’t like it, I have to admit they’re pretty smart to try this…

Wish FWP would respond by lengthening the hunting season through May. I always see several in the spring while bear hunting.

They've been using the ESA for years to pour sand in the gears of State governments. Nothing new, and nothing really "smart" about it. It's the go-to play in their playbook.
