I have been lurking for awhile and have really benefitted for all the content on this site. I am finally at a place in career and family life where I should be able to dedicated a little more time to hunting this fall. Grew up hunting whitetails out of tree stands on the east coast but love the freedom of the big mountains and 1,000s of acres of public land in the west. I have taken a couple antelope and one mule deer but I still feel like a newbie every time I go out. I have so many questions about where to find good animal numbers and how to effectively hunt them once I am in the area. I grew up shooting rifles and love shooting long range steel targets but I am trying to get more proficient with a bow too. Thanks for having me and I look forward to learning more.
