NR wyoming mule deer with zero points

Only for elk. Ill get another point for deer. If i dont draw elk, imma sit outside somebodys living room late one night and make noise.

It will be interesting to see how much the points needed to draw differ for elk in each of the 3 general zones.

Hey guys, I'm wanting to hunt wyoming this year for mule deer. I've never put in so i have no points. I'm wanting to know what the easiest unit to draw for a nonresident would be that has high country alpine hunting opportunities. I've been hunting Montana's highcountry my whole life and own horses so the steeper and deeper the better. Thanks

Not to burst your bubble but you have close to No chance unless you draw in the Random and it'll likely be a crappy unit with limited public land and/or infested Mr. Griz. You'll need to start buying preference points for a General license. Figure on 4-5 NR PPs to draw. Check out the Wyo F&G website previous years draw odds and tag allocations. Plan ahead.

Not high country but areas can be drawn with 0 PPs and get a decent mule deer.
