NW Montana whitetails DIY

One of next years adventures will be a DIY archery whitetail hunt in NW Montana (early season). Looking to gain any info I can find on whitetail habits and such in the big mountains. Pretty avid hill country hunter from the east but I’m sure a whole new ball game out there. Planning to focus clear cuts maybe? I’m also sending out around 100 letters to get on some private agricultural with river bottoms in the valleys of possible. Thanks...first post
