I got this old cleaver originally made by L. & I. J. White in Buffalo in the early 1900's. I put a couple of nothing special knives next to it for perspective. This is a big cleaver. I sent it to a gentleman in Richmond, VA whI hired to make a handle. It's absolutely incredible the cleanup work he did. He even made the custom box and put a very nice edge on it.

Phil Wilson Southfork in K390. Expensive? Yes. Safe queen? Heck no, I got it to gut, skin, quarter, debone animals and it is second to none IMO.

A few I made. First is stock removal. Others are forged.

Gene has been pretty good to me, I can't remember off the top of my head how many of his knives I have but I couldn't pick a favorite if I had too. S30V for me and I let him do his thing. This is one he made for me and some buddies that I really liked
You Gene guys are getting my all amped up. I put my order in a few weeks ago. Sending him this scale set I bought to put on my knife.

I have a Ingram on order, it’s the #1 bird & trout, but adding a 1/2” to the length, SV30 steel- still debating between 1/8 and 3/32”, orange G10 handles
