I have a Kodiak pro magnum. Have shot 777 pellets in past, now loose powder. I get burnt powder residue on bottom of scope directly above where the action opens. Is this a big deal, little deal, or no deal?1A698ED5-8B2D-4E0B-9D84-F1BF638B63BA.jpegFC0A3CA0-559F-473D-BE01-A9530610B8D5.jpeg

Years ago I had a Knight Disc and it was the first year they came out with it. The gun/scope combo actually came with a small leather and velcro piece that you could wrap around the scope to keep the powder residue off it. I used it a few times then ditched it, the leather piece that is. From then on, I would notice a little bit of residue on the scope after a few shots. It never made a difference to mine fwiw. It cleaned off easy enough. Those were some of the original pyrodex pellets, I think by Hogdon if memory serves me right? Could be wrong.

Thanks. I wanted to make sure it wasn't unsafe or effected performance. That was probably 10 shots worth of residue in those pics.
