Rem 700 shouldered prefit

After reading a post of someone using a shoulders prefit, I was curious if anyone else had done it and how it turned out?

now if ur talking a barrel maker.. good luck. Remington doesn’t hold tight enough tolerance.

It would be pretty hit and miss on every one I’ve ever done...70’s - 90’s vintage. Maybe the new ones are really good in terms of measurements, I’ve not had one.

Pretty sure nobody would dare make them for a Remington, headspace would be a roll of the dice.

The Remington shouldered pre fits are more for the std Rem action thread size rather than an actual factory rem action. For a factory action the remage with nut would be a better choice.
