I figured I would make a more official thread for these mounts now that I am a sponsor. I will be very thorough but if you have any more questions please shoot me a pm or email.

The past few years I’ve had missed shot opportunities due to the terrain not cooperating for shot positions. I glass off a tripod so I designed an adapter to allow me to quickly put my rifle on my tripod for a shot.

There are saddle type options but they tend to be clunky and heavy. With a stock mounted option it’s quick and lightweight. Other options have long lengths that add weight and aren’t as strong.

Currently I have a titanium option that is only 1.7” long and mounts to Arca Swiss tripod heads. It’s weight is .87 oz.

The second mount option I have is meant for a forward mount and incorporates a picatinny rail section for a bipod and also a sling stud in the rear tucked up behind the arca dovetail. It is made out of 7075 aluminum (more detail on that later) and weighs 1.1 oz.

Both of these designs can be ordered with 10-32 or 1/4-20 fasteners, and I include tee nuts for mounting to your stock. Bolt spacing on the Ti version is 1.2” with one side being slightly slotted to allow for locational error. The arca+pic version will accommodate bolt spacing from 1.2” to slightly over 3”.

Currently both mounts are available with a flat bottom, but I can make a run of radius bottom for mounting on more rounded style stocks. With the materials I am using though, a flat bottom mount on a rounded stock will not warp or distort because of use.

For surface finishes, the Titanium mount can be garnet blasted (a full grey) or I can flame anodize them which give a pretty cool multicolor finish. The arca+pic mount comes in a bead blasted aluminum finish.

I enjoy working extremely tough materials and don’t like to compromise strength to reduce my costs. This is why I have chosen Titanium, and 7075 aluminum. Most people are familiar with why titanium is so popular for lightweight options. It has a strength to weight ratio of around 250 kN. For aluminum, the industry standard is 6061 aluminum, because it’s decently strong and quite affordable. When compared to 7075 though, they are night and day. The strength to weight ratio of 6061 is 115kN and 7075 is 196 kN. So 7075 is on average 1.7 times as strong as 6061.

Playing around with one of my rifles on the tripod using the arca+pic mount, you can use it with the bipod legs deployed and go from a steady shot on the tripod, to prone on the bipod in 5 seconds.

I’m currently designing versions to work with outdoorsmans heads and then manfrotto next.

Pricing for the ultralight Ti arca rail is $65, and the arca+pic is $55, shipped CONUS.69F03A87-A0A2-4776-BC30-27BCBCF1FFE6.jpeg61B24FD2-B04C-47F6-BAF1-F7C34351CF3F.jpegB03D4195-0170-4F16-A834-B6AA25F63A11.jpeg

Sneak peek or maybe @sneaky peek? Outdoorsmans style rail with sling stud and picatinny section. Got the design done Programmed, and ran thru op 1! You can see it’s a lot narrower than the arca style! View attachment 178107
That's like a one stop shop of badassery right there I'm telling ya. Shut up and take my money!

I ran a couple of the titanium radius bottom versions for hunting style stocks with a radius.

Finish can be garnet blasted or flame anodized and will come with either 10-32 or 1/4-20 fasteners. $65 shipped CONUS I have 3 left. image.jpg

Can I get a radius cut one with the picatinny rail?

The titanium ones are just the mini rail versions. A 4.125” section of titanium plus the added machine time would make the titanium arca+ pic cost like $180. So they are just 7075 aluminum.

That’s easy with the outdoorsmans style that I just shipped out for testing, but on the arca style it’s causing me issues with the sling stud getting to close to the stock. I think I have a fix for it, should have them available this next week.

Took the Outdoorsman/picattiny rail setup out this evening and ran some rounds through it to double check zero. Weather looks perfect for bears this coming week, better than the mid 40s to low 50s with rain we had most of this past week. Look forward to hopefully putting it to use on ol Yogi.

It's the regular flat bottom rail in case anyone was wondering, still mounts pretty tight to the stock on my Cooper 92 it's on. Be curious to see some mounted picks of the radius cut rails when you guys get them installed.

You and your sage brush down south!

I have been slacking a little on my arca and outdoorsmans rails because I’ve been working on my Ti brakes, but I do have some updates.

I did a redesign on the arca+pic working on the radius bottom Version, and realized I can run a small radius down the center and they will work great with radius bottomed stocks or flat stocks. Also found some 10-32 “flange” bolts that will allow me to run them all to the 1/4-20 version and just supply the correct 10-32 fasteners. One version means I can keep them in stock a lot easier and will most likely do a large run and have them anodized.

I found some rectangle nuts that look they will be a straight bolt on for these mounts to m-lok

I also got 4” arca and outdoorsmans rails designed.

I got my arca rails made today. They are 4” OAL, and the max bolt spacing is 3.5”. Weigh about 1.3 oz. Made of 7075 aluminum. They have a small rounded section on the mounting surface and the rest is flat. This allows the one mount to be used on either a flat or rounded stock. They are available with 1/4-20 or 10-32 fasteners.

The price is $55 shipped.
